"Mountaintop" Experience!!! Mountain alwaz been wrapped and full off Mystery!!!
In God's Word...mountain often the places for powerful, personal encounters with God!!!!! Abraham demostrated his faith on mountain. He took his son (isaac zai) and did as the Lord commanded him...preparing to do the unthinkable..at the critical moment , God came thru ( Gen 22) Moses received the ten commandments on a mountain. So significant was his encouter with God that when he came down his face radiated the glory of GOD's presense!!!!! ( exodus 20) Elijah met God on Mt. Carmel and called down a fiery victory over hundreds of false prophets. ( 1kings 18) Therefore, mountaintop experience is " a temporary, uncommon encounter with God that is meant to give us a fresh awareness of His reality and nearness" BUT is temporary!!! a biblical mountaintop experience involve our mind, emotions and will! just wanna enphasis on the will............When God shows up in our lives in a powerful, dramatic mountaintop way, it's meant to prompt us to change or do soemthing differently. When we "descend" from the mountain, we're impacted, not only in what we Know or Feel but in what we DO!! therefore, it involve action Easter camp truely....a mountaintop experience......but the passion/ feeling is temporary!! it required action..
so...mountaintop experiences often merge from the regular spiritual disciplines of our lives. God won't show up in our lives in dramaric ways if we don't show up before Him in faithful, consistent ways........ p/s: wanted to go hiking with my frens!!! to encounter mountaintop experience!!!! but....all , i mean ALL !! all of them ditch me!!!! u all watch out.....patrick and andrew!!!
